Do you want to try a sport you have never played before? Excel in soccer, ice hockey or basketball? Enjoy recreational skiing? We have a long tradition of outstanding athletics for girls and boys, defined by dedicated coaches, superb facilities and an emphasis on teamwork in daily life.
From the seasoned varsity athlete, to the student learning tennis on the junior varsity team, to the casual skier, there is a place in Cushing's athletic program for every level of skill, experience and interest.
Athletes first and winning second best describes the philosophy of Cushing coaches. Most of the coaches are full-time faculty members. They are dedicated to their profession both in the classroom and on the field, and they share a mission of building and maintaining the strongest possible athletic programs. Our coaches have extensive knowledge of their sports and the passion to provide student-athletes with opportunity to grow, to achieve excellence individually or as part of a team.
